Holiday Parties

The holiday season is fast approaching, and we elves are busily preparing. Soon, we’ll be decking the halls of our historical properties with festive trees and décor. Some trees are even themed: There is the light bulb tree at Hotel Oregon, and at Edgefield, our in-house bakery makes gingerbread rabbits to hang from the tree in our Black Rabbit Restaurant. The bakers also will be assembling a massive gingerbread house that resembles the Edgefield Manor. This is an annual tradition that fills our front lobby with delicious ginger spice aromas. Add to that the roaming Dickens carolers on select weekend nights at Edgefield or Grand Lodge, and a pint of our seasonal ale Kris Kringle or one of our signature holiday cocktails, and you’ll be caught up in the spirit of the season in no time.

Even our private event spaces will be thoughtfully decked out with trees, wreaths, swags and other decorative accents. So if you’re looking for a venue for a company party, a holiday brunch with friends or family dinner and gift exchange; we’ll save you the time and trouble of cooking, cleaning and decorating. Many of our spaces also can accommodate entertainment such as dancing and music, casino nights or a holiday murder mystery.

Some of our movie theaters can also be reserved, allowing you to show your favorite holiday film in the background or maybe as a feature taking center stage. And every year, we provide a selection of delicious holiday-inspired menus for you to choose from, featuring portabella mushroom wellington, baked salmon with a pomegranate beurre blanc and mouthwatering desserts like eggnog cheesecake or the red velvet Yule log.
